Walt Churchill's Market has Toledo's largest selection of gluten free products available, for those health conscious or suffering from Celiac's Disease. We know that living and eating gluten-free can be a real challenge, and Churchill's aims to provide a wide variety of delicious, healthy and 100% gluten-free options to our customers, no matter what they're looking for.
Even for those customers not suffering from Celiac's disease or a gluten intolerance, reducing or eliminating gluten from your diet has a number of health benefits that can make everyone feel better. In some cases, a gluten-free diet may improve the gastrointestinal and systemic symptoms from other diseases, such as irritable bowel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis.
A true gluten free-diet should be mainly based on naturally gluten-free foods, which continue much higher levels of the body's necessary nutrients. This includes meat, fish, eggs, legumes, nuts, fruits, vegetables, potatoes, rice, maize. It is also suggested that you include commercially prepared gluten-free replacement products in your diet, as these products are typically enriched or fortified with vitamins and minerals. Another healthy alternative to gluten-containing products are pseudocereals, such as quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat and other minor cereals, which have high a significantly higher nutritional value.
